LO Signal Generation

A Local Oscillator (LO) is a signal source used in radio receivers and transmitters to shift the frequency of a signal to a desired intermediate frequency (IF). By combining the RF input signal with the LO signal, a mixer generates a new signal at the sum and difference frequencies. The desired IF signal is then filtered and amplified.
